Fishing was slow but those still interested have caught a few resident brown trout on streamers in the fly's only section.

Catch rates were slow due to muddy water. Small brown trout were caught on spinners.

Fishing slowed with bug hatches taking place all day long. Worms have been working but an egg sucking leach fly worked better. More suckers have moved up on the gravel from Walhalla Road to M-37.

Those fishing the flies only section did well when using streamers. Suckers were also caught.

Fresh steelhead were up on the gravel and could be seen from the fly's only section down to Rainbow Rapids. Brown trout fishing was good using wet flies or spinners. The mayflies have started to hatch, so now would be a good time to hit the river.

Water levels are high with limited visibility but brown trout fishing was good. Good catch rates in the flies only section when using streamers. In the new artificial lures only section, some big trout along with a couple steelhead were caught on thin-fins or Hot-n-Tots.

Steelhead fishing was slow. Most anglers are fishing for resident brown trout in the fly's only section.

Steelhead fishing is done as there have been no fish caught and there are no fish on the gravel. A few brown trout were caught on flies in the no-kill section of the river.

Water levels were up but still manageable. Steelhead fishing slowed as many fish have left the gravel and are falling back. Anglers should be aware that from the Last Saturday in April through August 31st, the section between Gleason's Landing and Rainbow Rapids is artificial lures only. Reference the fishing guide for further details.

Steelhead fishing was at its peak. Fish were on the gravel at M-37 and Gleason's Landing. A few suckers were also caught.

Those fishing below the M-37 Bridge in the flies only section have found a good number of steelhead on the gravel. Fish were hitting on spawn bags between Rainbow Rapids and the Walhalla Bridge. Sucker runs are just getting started and fish were caught off Scottville Park.

Fishing was slow and water levels were low. Rain in the forecast should help. Anglers are drifting flies on the gravel from Rainbow Rapids to the Lower Branch Bridge.
